West Bank refuge in trouble spot

By Girish Juneja

Updated on 02 July 2008

More4 News looks at why the foreign secretary visited a theatre in Jenin's refugee camp, a militant hotspot.

When David Miliband visited the Middle East last month he made a little reported stop at the Freedom Theatre in the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank.

Jenin has been one of the West Bank's most troubled areas, a militant hotspot made infamous after a 12-day Israeli siege in 2002.

So why was the foreign secretary visiting? And just who is the woman that founded the theatre?

After the official cavalcade left, More4 News went in to find out.
