Video of Iraq hostages shown

By Nick Paton Walsh

Updated on 04 December 2007

The kidnappers of five Britons who've been held in Iraq since May have released a video of one of the hostages.

In the video, the Shia militants say Britain should withdraw its troops from Iraq within days, but don't say what they'll do if this doesn't happen.

The man featured in the video gives his name, says he's been held for 173 days and adds that "no one seems to care".

Four of the men seized are security guards; the other is a computer expert.
