A new intelligence report says, although its predictions are not inevitable, US world domination is under threat.

The future of American influence and power will be increasingly challenged by China, India and Russia.

It makes grim reading for the president-elect Barack Obama, who is now under more pressure precisely because the US loss of influence is not inevitable.
