Greece is criticised by the UNHCR for its treatment of asylum seekers, as Phil Cox reports.

Greece accepts a fraction of the number of asylum seekers taken by the UK.

Under European Union rules, refugees have to apply and be considered for asylum in the first member state they arrive in.

Greece's position on the south eastern edge of the union, and its long coastline, make it the first port of call for many.

Phil Cox travelled across Greece to report on the difficult journeys faced by the migrants and the mixed receptions they are getting.
