Brown offers to aid "dialogue and reconciliation" between China and Tibet, while Sarkozy vows to boycott the Beijing Olympics.

Gordon Brown is saying he is determined that Beijing is made aware of the "changes that do need to be made".

But well ahead of his visit here, President Sarkozy raised the prospect that he might boycott the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics later this year, because of Chinese repression in Tibet.

But inside Tibet there is little sign that anyone is listening, rather there's been a nationalist backlash and resurgence in Patriotic Education.
