Two Britons arrested in Beijing free Tibet protest ahead of Olympics

Diplomats in Beijing try to get access to two British students who were arrested after displaying massive free Tibet banner.

The two Britons were detained along with two Americans after protesting outside the bird's nest Olympic stadium.

This morning saw the first major showcasing of the Olympics with the torch relayed through the city before thousands of spectators.

But elsewhere foreign protesters pushed the sensitive issue of Tibet back into the headlines.

All this as the authorities continue to clampdown further on the activities of the foreign media.
