Tsvangirai's wife killed in crash

Susan Tsvangirai, the wife of the Zimbabwean prime minister, is killed in a car crash which has left him slightly hurt.

According to a source from the Movement for Democratic Change the couple were travelling home for the weekend and were just south of the capital, Harare, when the crash happened.

It is just two days since Morgan Tsvangirai gave his maiden speech to parliament, at a time of rising tension in the country.

According to one witness, President Mugabe has been to visit his old rival in hospital.
