Tsvangirai held on campaign trail
Updated on 04 June 2008
Morgan Tsvangirai, leader of Zimbabwe's main opposition party, is arrested while campaigning for the country's presidential election.
His convoy was stopped at a police roadblock and he was taken to a police station. He has not yet been charged.
A spokesman for his party, the Movement for Democratic Change, denounced his detention as illegal, saying it was apparently intended to disrupt his campaign programme.
