Tibet protest spoils Chinese show
Updated on 27 March 2008
Monks protest as foreign journalists are shown around the Jokhang Temple in the capital Lhasa, one of Tibet's holiest shrines.
It was meant to be a staged visit to show invited reporters that order had returned to Tibet.
Instead a group of thirty Buddhist Monks embarrassed the Chinese government by holding a protest to claim there was no religious freedom in the country and that the Dalai Lama was not to blame for the recent violence.
