Thousands cross from Gaza to Egypt
Updated on 23 January 2008
An estimated 350,000 Palestinians poured into Egypt from the Gaza strip, after militants blew holes in the border wall overnight.
Militants demolished about 200 yards of the barrier in the divided town of Rafah, sparking what's being termed a mass break out of Palestinians from Gaza.
Egyptian police let them cross to stock up on food and supplies made scarce by the Israeli blockade.
