The Karl Rove rap

By Channel 4 News

Updated on 13 August 2007

Memo to all senior Republican politicians - rapping may seem like a good way to show your human side and appeal to younger voters.

But it's harder than it looks to do it without losing your dignity - especially if you're in a tuxedo and the cameras are rolling.

One man who found that out the hard way is Karl Rove, Deputy White House chief of staff, who announced his resignation today.

The announcement was unrelated to events at the March TV and Radio Correspondent's dinner, when the man they call 'George Bush's' brain' attempted to entertain the White House press corps with his hip-hop stylings.

The result was more brilliant than any of his spin doctors could have imagined. Watch the video here.
