Thailand imposes state of emergency in Bangkok

A state of emergency has been imposed in the Thai capital, Bangkok, after more than 100 days of political unrest.

Anti-government protestors are demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej and it appears the army is also reluctant to support his decree, insisting they would not use force to disperse the crowds.
