Spielberg: what the Chinese blogs say

The Chinese blogosphere is full of comments on Steven Spielberg's withdrawal as artistic adviser to the Olympic games opening ceremony.
Here are a selection, translated from the Chinese by Kuang Ling, of Channel 4 News Beijing Bureau.
"I have stayed in Sudan for a long time. In fact, the Sudanese are not that friendly towards Chinese. They think that we are stealing their oil. However, we can't simply withdraw from the country, because we have invested a lot to achieve this much. The US would love to see us withdraw. We shouldn't care about being blamed."
Nothing Is Enough
"I'm surprised to see some comments here blaming China. What has China done wrong? The Berlin Olympics were boycotted because German was an invader. Why should China be put into the same category? Those boycotters are really unreasonable."
Snowamoon
"Western powers started talking about human rights after they had profited enough from colonialism. If China doesn't get the resources to meet the demands of domestic development, which western power will take responsibility of our lives? I therefore support our government to fight for what we need in Africa. Western countries cast blame on us because they failed to get the oil and most western people are misled by the media and think bad things about China. How many of them indeed know that Beijing is in China and are interested to learn about China as Chinese people learn about the West?"
Rebuild China
"We shouldn't deny the mistakes we made.
1. China shouldn't be regarded as clean just because the USA invaded Iraq.
2. None of the member countries of the UN Security Council is innocent when it comes to distributing weapons in the world.
3. Economic conflict is the root of all the political and religious conflicts, so it's no wonder that Khartoum favours ethnic Arab people.
4. The civil war in Sudan is mainly between Muslims and Christians but the victims suffering most are the ethnicAfricans.
5. Spielberg has the right to express himself and make his choice. Any country that aims to be a global power should learn to accept disagreement even if it is a moral humiliation."
Half-Naked Monk
"We should strongly support the Chinese government! The rich resources in Sudan are certainly attractive to all the powers. The Chinese government should strictly keep our advantage there, just as the USA does in the Middle East."

"I'm so annoyed hearing these voices which fail to blame our government. Don't you know the human rights disaster happening in Darfur? Some crimes there are even worse than those committed by the Japanese army against the Chinese. The Chinese government either abstained from the UN vote or disagreed on the peace-keeping proposal, Also, China provides a lot of money to Sudan and the UN has to keep postponing the arrival of peacekeepers."
