The president of South Africa's ruling ANC goes to court to push for the dismissal of corruption charges.
The trial could prevent Zuma from succeeding Thabo Mbeki as South African president next year.
More than 1,000 people gathered outside court in a show of support. They believe the charges are politically motivated.
Mr Zuma denies the charges of corruption, fraud, money-laundering and racketeering, but he says he will step down if convicted.
