Sharif joins Pakistan protests

Pakistan's opposition leader and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has joined a violent protest in Lahore, defying an apparent house arrest order.
Thousands of people took to the streets to demand judges sacked by the former government be reinstated.
Police fired tear gas and protestors threw stones and torched a police bus.
It is the latest twist in the ongoing power struggle between Mr Sharif and Pakistan's President Asif Ali Zardari, the husband of assassinated Benazir Bhutto.
As Nawaz Sharif heads to Islamabad to take part in more protests, concern is mounting about the deteriorating situation in the country.
