Sarah Palin wins Republican faithful with her portrayal as the 'all American Alaskan mum', dismissing recent controversy over her family.
The Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin has shrugged off recent controversy about her family's background in her first major campaign speech to the party's convention at St Paul Minnesota.
She introducedherself as a small town mother who wasn't from the American political establishment and in an address that electrified delegates, she also accused Barack Obama of talking about change, while achieving nothing of substance.
