Radovan Karadzic to defend himself at war crimes tribunal

Radovan Karadzic wants to conduct his own defence in the Hague, and believes he will be cleared of genocide charges.

The former Bosnian Serb leader was arrested on Monday after 11 years on the run, apparently living a double life as a doctor of alternative medicine.

He has until Friday to launch an appeal.
