Prisoner at centre of Israel talks

As Israeli politicians today begin negotiations over who will form the next government, the outgoing one has declined to sort out the current impasse over Gaza for it
The security cabinet, meeting in Jerusalem, decided not to lift the blockade of Gaza's border until Hamas agreed to release an Israeli soldier held for three years.
