Pope meets US victims of child abuse
Updated on 18 April 2008
In an unprecedented move, the Pope meets with people who were abused as children by US Catholic priests.
Half way into his six day tour of the United States, the Pontiff met the group privately for a prayer session. `
Cardinal Sean O'Malley, the current archbishop of Boston, also attended. It was in Boston that the scandal first erupted in 2002.
