Obama win triggers gun rush

Following Senator's Obama election win, Americans are rushing to buy guns worried the president elect will tighten legislation to buy guns. Sarah Smith reports from Virginia.

Gun lovers across the US have been rushing to buy guns worried that Barack Obama's new administration will tighten the weapons' laws.

The president elect isn't expected to go for an outright ban, but a return to the restrictions on automatic weapons introduced by the Clinton administration is thought likely.

The panic buying has been triggered by Senator Obama's comment during the campaign that Americans "cling to their guns and religion".
