Obama condemns nuclear test

US President Barack Obama denounces what he calls a "grave threat to the peace and security of the world" after North Korea claimed it carried out a powerful underground nuclear test. Jenny Wivell reports.

Russia joined the international outrage and the UN Security Council will hold emergency talks later tonight.

The blast is thought to be 20 times more powerful than North Korea's first nuclear test in 2006.
