Mugabe: Zimbabwe is mine

By Jonathan Miller

Updated on 19 December 2008

Opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai threatens to walk out of talks with the Zanu-PF party, unless it stops persecuting opponents.

The party's president, Robert Mugabe, declared today - "I will never surrender... Zimbabwe is mine", accusing African nations of lacking the courage to use force to remove him from power.

Meanwhile, cholera is still spreading fast. Latest UN figures show more than 1,100 people have died and 21,000 are infected.
