Kenya poll spurs gang violence

Kenya's presidential election campaign has seen an upssurge in violence, particularly in the capital.
Kenya is heading for its closest presidential election for years next week, with opinion polls putting President Mwai Kibaki neck and neck with his main challenger.
As in past elections, the campaign has raised the level of political violence, particularly in the capital, Nairobi, scene of a dirty war between Kenya's security forces and the Mungiki gangs.
