Democratic contender Barack Obama is being compared with John F Kennedy - by the Kennedys themselves.

Democratic contender Barack Obama is being compared with John F Kennedy - by the Kennedys themselves.

JFK's brother Teddy, the veteran senator from Massachussetts, has given his blessing to Barack Obama in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Senator Obama, who beat Hillary Clinton in the South Carolina primary at the weekend, has also won the backing of JFK's daughter Caroline.

She said he was able to inspire people in the way her father had managed decades ago.
