Iraq: impact on our armed forces

We ask if the battle for hearts and minds in Iraq has come at the expense of the hearts and minds of British troops and their families.
For the British, the war has inflicted a huge burden on the armed forces - overstretch, resource starvation, and challenges to conventional strategy, equipment and morale.

A survey given exclusively to Channel 4 News shows that almost half of all army families would like their serving husband or wife to leave the army.
