Iraq rocked by bomb attacks
Updated on 07 July 2007
More than 100 people are killed by a suicide bomb in northern Iraq, while dozens die in other attacks across the country.
In the single deadliest attack since April, a truck bomb destroyed a busy market place in the village of Amirli, south of Kirkuk, killing 105 people and wounding 240 others.
And in the southern city of Basra, two British soldiers lost their lives - one of them during a massive operation by British forces to round up insurgents.
