Iran wants change in US policy

Iran tells Washington: you change your behaviour and we will change ours.

Iran's spiritual leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has replied to Barack Obama's unprecedented video message offering a new beginning with some blunt demands.

Change your policies and lift sanctions, he said - words are not enough. So is it a rebuff, or the remarkable beginning of dialogue between old enemies?

Khamenei was responding to a video message from President Obama. He said he had seen no change in America's attitude or policy, singling out US support for Israel and sanctions against Iran.
