There are growing fears that academic freedom could be a casualty of the escalating stand-off between Iran and the west.

The Iranian intelligence ministry has warned the country's academics they could be suspected of spying if they have contact with Western universities.

And in a coincidence of timing, Britain's main academic union has voted for a boycott of Israeli universities.

David Fuller reports.
