Iran is showing no sign of backing down.

With five days to go before it meets world powers in Geneva it is planning war games for tomorrow and an official says the second uranium enrichment facility, that was dramatically revealed yesterday, will soon go operational and make its "enemies blind".

Israel, which maintains the threat of military action, says Iran's behaviour is proof its true intentions are to seek nuclear weapons. The Iranian president said the plant was open to the UN's nuclear inspectors, but Barack Obama argued that its discovery showed a "disturbing pattern" of evasion by Tehran. Israel's foreign minister called for an "unequivocal" response from western leaders, with his British counterpart David Miliband saying he was "100 per cent committed" to a diplomatic solution, but refusing to rule out military action.
