India-Bangladesh 'security' fence

India announces a new fence will seal off its border with Bangladesh by next year, in an effort to stop the movement of Islamist militants across the border. Jonathan Rugman reports.

Bangladesh-India border

Almost 2,000 miles of barbed wire and concrete will be built in the name of security, cutting India off from Bangladesh.

Over 1,000 miles have been completed so far, but hundreds of Bangladeshis and Indians have been shot dead alongside by Indian troops.
