How to deal with Robert Mugabe?

As the international community ponders how to curb the Zimbabwean president's authority, there is resounding silence from South Africa.
The UN Security Council is preparing to meet within this hour, but the international community has limited options when it comes to dealing with Zimbabwe's Robert Mugabe.
Britain has urged other countries to refuse to recognise his regime, calling it illegitimate.
And Gordon Brown has said that the EU would seek deeper sanctions, with hints that British companies could be banned from doing business with Zimbabwe.
But from South Africa, Africa's biggest player of all - so far, not a word.
