As US forces transfer power to Iraqi forces, More4 News takes a forensic look at the politics of arming and training the Iraqis.
The US military today handed over responsibility for security of Iraq's largest province, Anbar, to Iraq.
Anbar, which a few years ago was at the centre of the insurgency, is the first Sunni majority province to be handed over to Iraqi security forces, who now control 11 of Iraq's 18 provinces.
For this special report, Laura Warner was given access to American and Iraqi forces in Baghdad and Salah ad-Din, two provinces still under US control.
