Historic US-Iran talks over Iraq

Iran and the US have held their first top level talks for decades with both sides hailing the meeting in Baghdad as a 'positive step'.
It has taken 30 years and the significance of these talks is not what was said or agreed, but the fact that they happened at all.
Iran and American brought together - over one shared aim: a strong Iraqi government.
Old arguments were voiced. Iran - still regards America as an illegal occupying force. The US still accuses Iran of funding and arming the militia.
Within hours of the talks ending a truck bomb exploded near the city's largest Sunni Mosque. At least 24 people were killed here.
Today Iran has offered to help with security - something America is likely to reject. And the two countries only talked about Iraq and nothing else. But at least they've started talking.
