Gunmen's motives to be analysed
Updated on 03 March 2009
Pakistani security sources try to find out who attacked the Sri Lankan cricket team and whether there is any connection to jihadi groups.
It was a well-planned attack, with one group of gunmen using a rocket-propelled grenade, while others fired guns on the convoy.
The gunmen's motives will be analysed and any links to al-Qaida, the Taliban or Kashmiri groups will be investigated.
