Genoa protesters waiting for justice

Six years after Italian police attacked anti-globalisation protesters in Genoa the British victims still waiting for justice.

The former head of the Italian police is to face questioning by prosecutors tomorrow over allegations that he pressured a police witness to lie in Court about the violent suppression of protests during the G8 summit in Genoa.

Seventy-six Italian police officers are on trial over the events in of July 2001.

But today - six years on - British protesters beaten up by police are still seeking help from the Foreign Office over their treatment.
