EU officials monitoring the elections in Afghanistan say a quarter of all votes cast could have been fraudulent. Lindsey Hilsum reports

As Afghan voting figures from last month's presidential elections show the incumbent Hamid Karzai winning a majority, claims of fraud continue to bedevil his administration.
 
Questions over the legitimacy of the election results led to a senior official at the UN mission in Afghanistan leaving the country after a row.
