First-ever Guantanamo Bay terror suspect interrogation on video
Updated on 15 July 2008
The first film footage of a terror suspect interrogation at Guantanamo Bay is released by the man's lawyer.
The video, obtained under freedom of information laws, shows Canadian investigators questioning a then 15-year-old, Omar Khadr, the last westerner still held at the naval base.
Khadr, who is now 21, is due to go on trial in October.
Khadr, a Canadian national, was arrested by American forces following a four hour battle with militants in the village of Ayub Kheyl in Afghanistan, in July 2002.
He was taken unconscious to hospital at the US prison in Bagram air base, before being taken to Guantanamo Bay in Cuba three months later.
Khadr is accused of throwing a grenade which killed a US soldier and is due to go on trial in October.
This report contains some distressing images.
