Fears over Iran's nuclear capabilities after missiles are test-fired

By Jonathan Miller

Updated on 09 July 2008

Iran's test firing of nine missiles, one capable of reaching Israel, sparks international concern.

Iran has warned that 'our hand will always be on the trigger, our missiles will always be ready to launch', after test firing nine missiles, one of which it said was capable of reaching Israel.

Israel called the tests a matter of 'grave concern' while the United States said Iran should refrain from any further tests if it wanted to gain the trust of the world.

But Tehran insisted it would be ready to retaliate against any attack on its disputed nuclear facilities.
