British mercenary Simon Mann tells the court that he had wanted to make a deal with the country's authorities in 2005.

Simon Mann will be sentenced on Monday, the court in Equatorial Guinea announced.

It follows a dramatic end to his four day trial late last night, when Mann told the court he had wanted to make a deal with the country's authorities in 2005.

But, he claimed, he had been "prevented" by his lawyers. Mann is facing a 32-year jail sentence for his part in the failed coup.
