Africa is courting China as the Asian giant seeks materials for its development.

Where could you find the leaders of more than 40 African countries this weekend?

They're at summit in Beijing, being feted by the Chinese leadership.

China is keen to cement its flourishing trade links with Africa, the source of much of the natural resources needed to sustain China's massive economic expansion.

Trade between the two regions is predicted to top £26bn this year.

Our Beijing correspondent Lindsey Hilsum, who investigated Chinese investment in Africa for Channel 4 News last year, found the 'no questions asked' approach of the Chinese continues to be appreciated by the leaders of African countries.
