Bill Clinton turns on the magic and gives Obama the thumbs up
Updated on 28 August 2008
Former President Bill Clinton put aside the bitterness over his wife Hillary's defeat in the Democratic nomination battle, to heap praise on Presidential candidate Barack Obama.
After receiving a five minute ovation when taking the stage, he turned on the old magic, paying tribute to Mr Obama's "remarkable ability to inspire people".
He dismissed criticism of Obama's lack of experience, reminding the crowd that he had been accused of the some thing when he took the presidency in 1993.
