Barack Obama meets Gordon Brown in Downing Street

Updated on 26 July 2008

By Nick Paton Walsh

The American presidential candidate Barack Obama meets Tony Blair, Gordon Brown and David Cameron during his visit to London.

One of them is popular and has drawn big crowds during his world tour.

The other has just lost a by-election in a safe seat and his MPs are muttering about his future.

The American presidential candidate Barack Obama was in London today for a meeting with Gordon Brown.

After his public receptions in Berlin and Paris Senator Obama's visit here was kept deliberately low key; a breakfast meeting with Tony Blair, talks with the prime minister at Downing Street and discussions in the commons with David Cameron.
