Ahmadinejad victory does not stop protests

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has claimed a landslide victory in Iran's presidential election.

He described his re-election as an epic moment, and the election itself as a model of religious democracy.

Thousands turned out to support him in Tehran as opponents continued to protest chanting "Death to the Dictator" and police arrested up to 100 opposition members.

The defeated candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi appealed against the result as his supporters called for a national protest tomorrow and a general strike on Tuesday.
