Watchdog to monitor MPs' expenses?

Chancellor Alistair Darling has called for an external body to oversee MPs' expenses as Geoff Hoon's allowances are the latest to be called into question.
It has emerged that Mr Hoon claimed second home allowances for his Derby home while letting out his London home.
At the same time, the transport secretary was living in a flat in Whitehall which was provided as part of his then job, defence secretary.
He says he has done nothing wrong.
Alistair Darling is taking steps to mitigate the damage and has suggested setting up an external watchdog to monitor MPs' expenses may be the answer.
And Channel 4 News spoke to Labour MP Paul Flynn who wants to see a total overhaul of the so-called 'gravy train' for MPs.
