War costs 'double to £3.25bn'

The annual cost of Britain's military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan has almost doubled to £3.25bn in the last 12 months, MPs have warned.
The government says the rising bill is due to urgently needed equipment to protect those serving on the front line, as well as a special operational bonus.
But the Conservatives claimed it showed the missions had been under-resourced for years.
The Commons defence committee said the MoD must provide much more information on how public money was being spent.
