Voters unimpressed with party pledges

Undecided voters in the key marginal seat of Bolton West appear unimpressed with the political parties' policies after a feverish pre-election conference season.

David Cameron has admitted voters will not be 'crying with delight' over the Conservatives’ economic plans,  from a pay freeze for millions of public sector workers to upping the retirement age.

In this changed political landscape all the parties are warning of pain ahead in the form of spending cuts.

Twenty miles from here is the constituency of Bolton West where the former cabinet minister Ruth Kelly has a majority of just 2,000.

Channel 4 News found voters here to have a distinct lack of enthusiasm for any of the parties.
