Gordon Brown hits the campaign trail in a bid to dispel the economic and political clouds swirling around his party.

Mr Brown is attending an event in support of Labour's London mayoral candidate, Ken Livingstone.

But back in Downing Street the pressure continues to mount, with a new poll showing that more than two-thirds of voters lack confidence in his government's ability to deal with the looming economic crisis.
