The Conservatives rip up their conference schedule and address the banking crisis. Have they got the answers?

They say they have the answer to save British banking. Their plan appears to be to let the Bank of England bear the risk, rather than the taxpayer.

Today the Conservative leader David Cameron told the prime minister he had had his boom, now his reputation is bust.
