Phillip Blond: 'Cameron's red Tory'

The name is Blond, Phillip Blond. And he has been hailed as David Cameron's philosopher king.

The former theology lecturer's ideas on so-called "red Toryism", concern for the poor, dislike of unfettered capitalism, are leaving their mark on the Conservative leader.

So much so that tomorrow he will launch Mr Blond's new ResPublica think tank.

In a speech, Mr Blond is expected to criticise the "loadsamoney" ideology of the Thatcher years and its effect on morality.
