Dangerous diseases are officially stored here in Britain for scientific study. But More4 News has uncovered details of "leakages" that could put lives at risk.

You might find it a surprise that the most dangerous diseases in the world are officially stored, here in Britain, by public bodies.

Pathogens from TB to HIV are kept alive to help in vaccine development and other research.

The authorities claim that the strictest possible precautions are taken against leakage - but More4 News has found out that last year there were 24 incidents which could have endangered the public.
